The In-House Litigation Playbook: Practical approaches for complexity, scrutiny, and scale

Join fellow senior in-house litigators navigating an evolving business and regulatory landscape in 2026. We'll dig into issues shaping today's disputes - emerging AI liabilities, expanding class action risks, governmental investigations, and cross-border enforcement - alongside the operational challenges of running a litigation function: matter management, integrating AI into workflows, cross-functional coordination, and demonstrating value through metrics.

Attendees will compare approaches to managing investigations, internal reporting, and pressures from regulators and boards. After two days, you'll leave with new methods to strengthen litigation outcomes and a network of peers you can rely on when the next unfamiliar challenge lands on your desk.

This discussion addresses how to prepare for growth by selecting (or creating) the right matter management systems, structuring outside counsel for low-stakes work, and building scalable models that help leadership understand spend, trends, and capacity before the spreadsheet collapses.

FAQs

Who is this Offsite for?

This exclusive Offsite is limited to 50 of our most senior members who serve in roles as the head of litigation at their organization.

What are my next steps to join this Offsite?

This Offsite is invitation-only and you will be tapped with an invite from our Co-Chairs or The Suite.

I have received an invite to the Offsite, am I guaranteed a spot?

An invitation does not guarantee you a spot at the Offsite. We suggest you register as soon as possible to secure your place. As spots are limited, please only register if you intend to attend the full programming from Monday to Wednesday.

What time should I be at the hotel on Monday, April 20th?

We would love for you to join us for our opening reception, activities & welcome dinner at the MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa from 2:00 pm - 8:30 pm on Monday.

What time should I plan on leaving on Wednesday, April 22nd?

While content will conclude by 12:00 pm, programming will be followed by a grab-and-go style lunch available until 1:00pm.

Can I arrive earlier or stay later at the hotel?

YES! We have secured our heavily discounted rates at the MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa for one day pre- and two days post- this Offsite, and we'd love to see our members take advantage of this discount. See hotel information in your registration confirmation email for how to book extra nights.

What is covered?

All provided meals, content, and activities from the welcome reception on Monday, April 20th to farewell lunch on Wednesday, April 22nd.

I've RSVP'd what is next?

We can't wait to host you onsite! Please follow the steps in your registration confirmation email.

How do I get to and from the hotel?

Sonoma is a remote location and whilst ride share services are abundant from major cities and major airports, they are less common and unreliable when ordering them from Sonoma or regional airports. For peace of mind, we recommend you contact the hotel concierge team at (707) 938-2929 to book a secured private transport, especially for traveling to an airport on your departure date.
